Gorilla Fight in Zoo Boka

 Gorilla Fight in Zoo Boka

Visitors at Zoo Boka were left stunned when a fierce fight broke out between two massive gorillas in their enclosure. The incident occurred during feeding time when tensions escalated between the dominant silverback, Kumba, and a younger male, Tano. Witnesses reported loud roars, chest-thumping, and aggressive posturing before the two primates clashed.

According to zoo officials, the conflict was likely triggered by a territorial dispute, as Tano had been challenging Kumba’s authority for weeks. Keepers had noticed increasing tension between the two, but no one expected such an intense confrontation. The fight lasted several minutes, with both gorillas displaying immense strength, pushing and striking each other.

Zookeepers quickly intervened by using loud noises and spraying water to separate the animals. Fortunately, neither gorilla sustained serious injuries, though both had minor scratches and bruises. Experts say such fights are common in the wild, as younger males try to establish dominance.

Following the incident, zoo staff are closely monitoring the gorillas, ensuring their safety and well-being. They are considering modifying the enclosure to prevent future conflicts. Despite the dramatic moment, Zoo Boka assured visitors that their beloved gorillas remain in good health and are being carefully observed.
